Health Care In America

Health Care has been debated election after election. Yet, all Americans do not have health care coverage.
Who should have health care? At what age should you have health care? Who should be responsible for the heath care needs of people who live in the U.S? How much care you get should be a private responsibility , or a government responsibility. Answer these questions and devise a heath care plan that you think can work in the United States.

Your post assignment is to answer these questions in three papragraphs or more. After you post your response: write at least your first name, student roster number, and class section. After you've posted your post; log off the blog site, and log back on to check your post on the blog site.

Taxes

Title: A UNIFORM TAX SYSTEM

There is an on-going debate in the American Political System as to how our government will add dollars to create jobs for an overall unemployment rate of 9%.

The tax system in The United States benefits the the rich and continues to increase the divide between the upper and lower middle classes. One possible solution is to legislate a uniform tax system where all tax payers pay the same percentage of taxes of their yearly income. For example; If a tax payer were to pay 25% of their annual  income, it would look like this -  Someone making $50,000 a year would pay $12,500 and someone earning $10 million dollars a year would pay $2.5 million dollars in taxes.  Currently, the average small business (employing up to100 employees) with profits as low as 1 to 2 million dollars pays 35-39% yearly taxes. These small business owners support families, including paying for their workers health insurance.

Post your comment in 3 paragraphs supporting a uniform tax, or not. State your reasons, and offer your own solution to how our government can generate the money needed to put people back to work.

IMPORTANT: After you finish your post - Give your first name, (last name if you wish), your Roster Number (given to you in class), and your class section.
Possible class sections: MW9:30, MW12:30, TR9:30, TR 11:00, TR12:30, TR2:00
This is necessary in order to give credit for this assignment.
